My Concept of The Ultimate Google TV

First up, Google TV needs to turn the idiot box into a smart box. It needs much more than just internet access, touch screen, DVR, etc. etc. It needs to go beyond the computer. Who says the CPU box/cabinet needs to be next to the screen? It doesn't even have to be near the screen, not with Google TV's wifi capability. Even if optic fibre/HDMI cables are used they can easily be hidden under the carpet as it is just one cable going to the Screen which lies on the wall. The CPU/Cabinet/Google TV Box will not be small and petitie. In fact it will be a whole table that lies between the couch and the TV. It will have a 15.6 table top embedded touch screen that replicates the Master Screen and gets activated on touch. Users can simply touch this mini screen instead of going all the way over to the screen. Continuation - Part 2

So to carry forward from where i last left. Hmmm....what else. Realistically, not everyone will be able to afford the Google TV Table with 10 TB HDD and built it mini screen touch screen etc. So for them a scaled down version  with 1 TB HDD the size of a normal STB can be made. But it still needs to go beyond the internet connectivity that is currently offered by PS3, XBOX, DVRs and other TV attachments. For one thing it won't require any TV tuner card which is such an annoying requirements of computers today to display TV from cable. So the Google TV Mini will be a computer that is TV ready. Any screen the user has will connect to it. Requiring a wifi router also seems like an unnecessary requirement today. So the box will be a router too as most households have only one net cable connection which needs to be shared with other wifi-mobiles and notebooks and netbooks. Ideas Based on the 5 Stated Themes

Hello All Napkin Labbers (aka Social Scientists and Idea-Machines, although some are Xerox ;) just kidding) Napkin Labs mentions these 5 pointers which reveal that the main target of GTV would be youngsters and rightly so. The current young generation (around 25 and below) will form the bulk of GTV customers and cutting edge entertainment tools of the future. I have tried coming up with ideas for each of these pointers keeping focus on the youth.
